What does “fighting fascists” even mean?

The word “fascism” comes from the Italian word, “fascio,” which means “bundle” – i.e., bundles of people. In ancient Rome, the “fasces” was a bundle of wood with an ax head, which was carried by leaders. We’re often told by the modern leftist movements, involving BLM and Antifa, that you’re either with us, or against you. In other words, you cannot be neutral. This isn’t a new idea.
