In November of 2024, I told you the story of what happened to Shawn Nicholas, a Special Olympics medalist in Clearfield City, Utah, who was violently arrested by Officer Fratto of the Clearfield City Police Department. And now, fast-forward to 2026, a federal judge has ruled on whether the actions of Officer Frottocare about him, when he encountered Officer Frotto, who then began to follow him, bully him, and hurt him. After that video went viral, it made the local news in Utah. I also received a very sweet thank you message from Shawn himself, who appreciated me telling his story. Finally now – 2 years later – I have an update. Shawn did subsequently file a civil rights lawsuit.
