Cop Beats Grandpa Sleeping in Car — ACQUITTED

Remember the case where the 62 year old grandpa, Kevin Hinton, was driving with his pet cockatoo on a road trip to meet his new baby granddaughter… and he gets tired, pulls into a public park in Spokane, Washington, and tries to take a nap? But then Spokane, Washington police officer, Clay Hilton, shows up and starts to harass him, ultimately beating him to the point that he would have 8 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a severe concussion, a shoulder injury, and a disfigured lip? I originally made a video about that one all the way back in October of 2023. Then I made an update video on it in December of 2025 after Clay Hilton got fired and indicted. The criminal charges against Hilton just recently went to a jury trial and it’s probably not what you were expecting. He was acquitted. But it’s not over yet.

Over two years ago I showed you a video about a 62 year old grandfather named Kevin Hinton. He was driving late one night on a road trip, returning from meeting his brand-new baby granddaughter in Oregon. He was too tired to continue driving. He couldn’t keep his eyes open. So he pulled over in a public parking lot in Spokane, Washington to take a nap. He was awakened by the arrival of Sgt. Clay Hilton with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. Three minutes later, he would have 8 broken ribs, a punctured lung, a severe concussion, a shoulder injury, and a disfigured lip. Why? Because Sgt. Hilton thought this 62 year old grandfather was rude to him. Now, over 2 years later, there’s a huge update on my original video. Sgt. Hilton has been fired, and is now facing federal criminal charges.

Tired Grandpa’s Terrible Roadtrip | Cop Placed on Leave

Imagine that your 62 year old father was driving late at night after 11 hours on the road. Would you worry that he would fall asleep? Hopefully he would just pull over somewhere and take a nap if he was tired. Right? Usually, yes. But not in Spokane County, Washington.

62 year old Kevin Hinton had just driven 11 hours into his road trip back from meeting his brand new baby granddaughter in Oregon. He was too tired to continue driving. He couldn’t keep his eyes open. So he pulled over into a parking lot at Terrace View Park, in Spokane, Washington, to take a nap. Shortly afterwards he would encounter Sgt. Clay Hilton with the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office. Within three minutes, Hilton would forcibly remove Mr. Hinton from his vehicle in such a way as to leave him with 8 broken ribs, a punctured lung, severe concussion, shoulder injury, and a disfigured lip. Why? Because Sgt. Hilton thought he was being rude.
