Recently I posted a YouTube short about a video I did back in September of 2025: Man Buys His Dream Truck, Then Gets Arrested For Driving a Stolen Truck. That was the video where the Coast Guard officer buys a truck from a car dealership, and then the car dealership (Doral Volkswagen) falsely reports the truck as stolen, and he gets arrested at gunpoint and interrogated by clueless detectives. That short went over 6M views, with many of you asking, whatever happened to that situation? Is there an update? I reached out to Shane Sprague – the guy from the video. His lawyers agreed to an interview to tell you everything that’s happened since my first video, and also provided me with all of the raw footage, including some never-before-seen bodycam footage from that incident.
