The Secret History of the (Bad) Cop Who Arrested a Brain Damaged Driver for Being Too Slow

In October of 2024, Monroe County (Florida) Deputy Jonathon Lane pulled over a dad/husband who was hauling a boat too slowly. The driver had previously suffered from a traumatic brain injury (TBI). Deputy Lane immediately escalated the situation to a felony arrest of the driver, afterwards lecturing the man’s wife about his integrity and the importance of following the law. But as it turns out, Deputy Jonathon Lane has a “confidential” past that exposes his own law-breaking, as well as his department’s apparent coverup of that law-breaking.

Here’s the original video from Arrest Cam Fish and Wildlife.

Here’s a screenshot from the website of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Monroe County, Florida, showing Deputy Lane’s arrest record as confidential:

Wrong Mom Arrested on Christmas Eve | 75 Hour Jail Nightmare | Help Her Get Justice

What was supposed to be a joyous Christmas celebration turned into a nightmare for Jennifer Heath Box, when Broward County, Florida, sheriff’s deputies arrested her and threw her in jail for three days—all because they refused to check their paperwork to make sure they had the right person. Cops Tased Autistic Son – After Making Him Participate in Father’s Arrest! (then lied about it)

A Peruvian family who resides in Bradenton, Florida, was pulled over by the Holmes Beach Police Department after an automated license plate reader flagged the vehicle’s plate as possibly being driven by someone without a valid license. The driver was Orlando Diaz, who spoke very little English. The officer asked his son, who is autistic, to translate. The officer then proceeded to have the son translate to his father that he was under arrest, rather than being given a citation. The son became quickly and visibly upset after seeing his father being placed in handcuffs. Shortly afterwards, the father would be thrown on the ground and the autistic son, Francisco Diaz, would also be thrown on the ground and tased several times.

Two police officers in St. Petersburg, Florida, arrested a homeless man for trespassing. The female officer who arrested him told him she was tired of citing him, so she was going to have him taken for a “ride” in the police van. He was shackled and placed in the rear of the van, that had no seatbelts. Along the way, the officer driving the van slammed on the brakes, rendering the detainee unconscious. But the officer didn’t stop. Later the officer opened the rear door to find the unconscious man. Then he dragged him out onto the ground. The man ended up paralyzed and having both his legs amputated.

Entitled Couple Faces Cops – And Reality

Several people sent me this video from the Crime Scene Cam youtube channel, showing a young, entitled couple confronting cops over their parked cars, several of which are in the public roadway. They learn several lessons here. But the more important lesson is the interplay in Fourth Amendment rights when it comes to the public road, versus the curtilage of your home.
